You
offer one of our river or canal cruises (any
barge or river boat under 100 passengers) to
your patrons at our list price. You collect the final bid from your patrons, and
send us a check for our list price less 10%. Our
contribution to your fundraiser is the 10% discount.
Example:
The list price of the cruise is $1,915 per person. Assuming a final bid of $2,500
per person, you pay Circa Tours $1,724 ($1,915 list price less 10%) and you keep
the difference: $2,500 - $1,724 = $776.
Total funds raised - double occupancy: $776 x 2 passengers =$1,552
By
promoting the tour to your membership, you can raise money in three ways:
a)
Small Groups
Mark up our quoted net price by any amount you feel is
appropriate. You collect this marked up price from your members, pay us our net
price and keep the difference for your fundraiser.
Example:
Let's say you add $40 per person to our quoted net price and enroll 20 participants:
$40 x 20 = $800. Circa Tours matches the funds you raised with a donation of $800.
Total funds raised: $800 + $800 = $1,600
b)
Volume Discount
We discount our quoted net price when a minimum number
of participants is reached. You collect the same marked up amount from each participant
regardless of the size of the group, but we charge you less per person as the
group gets bigger.
Example:
Let's say you offer the tour for $3,300 per person. Our net price to you is $3,000
per person for up to 6 people and $2,900 for 7 people and more. When you reach
and pass the 7 people mark, you continue collecting $3,300 per person and raise
more money per participant. Here's the calculation:
$3,300
x 6 people = $19,800 - You pay us $3,000 x 6 = $18,000.
You raise $1,800 ($19,800
- $18,000) or $300 per person, plus a matching donation of $300 ($50 x 6).
$3,300
x 7 people = $23,100 - You pay us $2,900 x 7 = $20,300.
You raise $2,800 ($23,100
- $20,300) or $400 per person, plus a matching donation of $350 ($50 x 7).
c)
Free Space
If
you anticipate interest from enough people, we can include one or more free spaces.
After people send you their registrations and deposits for the tour, you enter
their names in a lottery. This will give them a chance to win the free space.
Although this is not a "direct" fundraising activity per se, it is an
excellent incentive for your members to sign up for the tour and generate more
interest and more funds.
